Samina Ghafoor

Samina Ghafoor has extensive experience in the education sector. Over her 30 years as an educationist, she supervised and managed various education programmes and conducted trainings across the country. She is an ECCE expert and has remained engaged in the development and review processes of the National ECCE curriculum, training manuals and text books for the private and public sector schools.

Sadia Malik

Sadia Malik is Assistant Professor of English. She has experience of more than two decades of teaching English Language and Literature to high school, under graduate and post graduate classes. She has been a reviewer of curriculum and textbooks with the National Curriculum Council (NCC), Islamabad since 2017. She has worked as a subject expert (English) in the National Review Committee (NRC) during the formulation of the National Curriculum, 2020. She also reviewed English textbooks (Grade 1-5) based on the National Curriculum 2020. She is a co-author of the English Textbook for Grade 8th published by National Book Foundation.

Nasir Amin

Nasir Amin established the first National Education Management Information System (EMIS) in Pakistan in 1986 with the technical support of Harvard Institute of International Development (HIID). Currently the system serves as the official source of Education Statistics for Pakistan. He has been the National focal person for UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) from 2000 to 2018. He has technical expertise on SDG-4 (and in the past  MDGs) Educational Indicators and recently published a report titled “SDG-4 Data in Pakistan: Gaps, Challenges and Way Forward”. This document reviews the existing institutional set-up/ structure responsible for SDG-4 reporting, identification of data needs and gaps on SDG-4 implementation in Pakistan.

Wajeeha Rizvi

Wajeeha Rizvi comes with 14 years of experience in the education sector. She is currently working as a School Coordinator at Beaconhouse Islamabad. She has also worked as a deputy Manager curriculum & training (Urdu & Islamiat). Ms. Rizvi has also been a subject specialist during the curriculum review 2020 exercise at the National Curriculum Council (NCC), Islamabad. Formerly she also contributed to the development of ICT curriculum and textbooks revision (2017- 2018).  and Single National Curriculum and textbooks (Grade 1-8).

Shoaib Haider

Shoiab Haider is a Civil Engineer from Middle East Technical University, Ankara Turkey. He also earned a Master’s degree in business administration. He is currently working as a Country Director (CD) at Hope’87 (INGO). He has remained associated with the social and development sector since 2001 and has lead educational and development projects across the country.

Zohra Sohail

Zohra Sohail has over eight years of experience of working on development programmes, where she has worked extensively on gender and inclusion in diverse thematic areas, including stability/resilience, governance, democracy, and agriculture. She has also supported education projects around teacher training and non-formal basic
education. She possesses a Master’s degree in economics from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and another in Gender and International Development from the University of Warwick where she was a Commonwealth Shared Scholar.

Hassam Hussain

Hassam Hussain, an MBA from UC Berkeley, is an accomplished economic growth adviser specializing in business support and economic transformation programmes in emerging economies across APAC, Eastern Europe and LATAM. He has 13 years of highly relevant experience in senior impact advisory and business strategy roles across well-reputed international consulting and private sector ICT firms.

Rehan Khan

Rehan is a media sociologist with extensive Program Mgt., Strategic Communications and Proposal Development experience. He has managed mass media and outreach campaigns across 113 districts in Pakistan on themes such as Rule of Law, Good Governance, Social Cohesion, Democratic Values, Local Govt., Civic Engagement & Election Campaigning. He was been the Govt. of Pakistan Overseas scholar to the prestigious Massey University in New Zealand. Mr. Khan also has expertise in conducting qualitative research. In the past, he has also worked extensively with Geo TV and produced prime time talk and news bulletins.

He has over 18 years of experience in national and international technical and management oversight with premier institutions in the Media Industry. He is an expert of Documentary Films, Video Production, Music Videos, TVCs, Animation, Advertisements, Corporate Films, TV Shows, Web Commercials, Radio programs, Web Development and Graphics Designing. His portfolio includes Broadcast IT, Management and Technical support to leading IT stakeholders such as INGOs & TV channels including Geo TV Network (Pakistan and Dubai), Rohi TV.
